Youth Camp

Annually in July the Flying Resort Ranches hosts a Youth Camp at the Root Ranch. The purpose of our Youth Camp is to introduce the next generation to the wilderness, foster a passion for the outdoors and to appreciate life without TV, cell phones and video games. Activities include introduction to horses, hiking, overnight camp out, shelter building, introductory to rifles and archery, hunter safety, ranch cooking,  learning to use a compass, reading a map and learning a history of the ID backcountry.  The camp is a week long and is for 9-12 year olds.
